Cameron Mackintosh said, "I’ve always known that the public knows best so I am delighted that the new Miss Saigon has swept the board with a record breaking nine awards including Best Musical Revival and Best Show and I’m thrilled for all our other winners as well especially to the extraordinary achievement of our four leading Asian performers winning the top acting awards. The original production in 1989 bizarrely lost the Olivier Award for Best Musical to a rock and roll compilation show Return To The Forbidden Planet so it’s nice to see the public having the last word".

“MISS SAIGON” is now booking into its 2nd sensational year at the Prince Edward Theatre with tickets available until December 2015.

“MISS SAIGON” currently stars Jon Jon Briones as ‘The Engineer’, Eva Noblezada as ‘Kim’, Alistair Brammer as ‘Chris’, Tamsin Carroll as ‘Ellen’, Hugh Maynard as ‘John’; Kwang-Ho Hong as ‘Thuy’, and Rachelle Ann Go as ‘Gigi’.

“MISS SAIGON” tells the tragic tale of young bar girl Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with an American GI called Chris - but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.

This new production of “MISS SAIGON” opened in May 2014 and has been a triumphant success with record-breaking advance bookings. After opening in London, the new production most recently opened in Japan with other productions planned to open in Korea, Australia, Europe and the U.S.

JON JON BRIONES was in the ensemble in the original cast of “Miss Saigon” when the show opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. He has since played the role of ‘The Engineer’ in his native Philippines, London, on tour in both the UK and US and also in Germany. Eighteen year old EVA NOBLEZADA made her professional stage debut as ‘Kim’. ALISTAIR BRAMMER made his professional stage debut as ‘Marius’ in the West End production of “Les Misérables” at the Queen’s Theatre having previously appeared in a special finale of the show for the show’s 20th birthday where he played the same role as part of the Schools’ Edition cast. Following his appearance in the West End, Alistair was cast as ‘Jean Prouvaire’ in the smash hit film of “Les Misérables”, a role he also played in the 25th Anniversary of the show at the O2. His other West End credits include ‘Billy’ in “War Horse” at the New London Theatre. TAMSIN CARROLL was recently seen as ‘Chairy Barnum’ in “Barnum” at Chichester Festival Theatre. Also in Australia, Tamsin received critical acclaim for her stunning performance as the title role in “Dusty”where she won both the Green Room and Helpmann awards for Best Actress in a Musical. Her other UK theatre credits include “The Magistrate” at the National Theatre, ‘Emma Goldman’ in “Ragtime” and ‘Titania’ in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, both for the Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park. HUGH MAYNARD played the role of ‘John’ in the first and second national UK tours of “Miss Saigon”. He was most recently seen in the tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Jesus Christ Superstar”. His West End credits include “Sister Act” and the original cast of “The Lion King”. KWANG-HO HONG is a major solo artist whose concerts regularly sell out arenas in his native Korea. He has also become one of the top musical actors in Korea where his credits include the roles of ‘The Phantom’ and ‘Raoul’ in “The Phantom of the Opera”, ‘Dr. Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde’ in “Jekyll and Hyde” and “Man of La Mancha”.
