Liam Tamne, whose West End credits includeLes Miserables and Wicked will take over as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera from 1 September 2014.
Tamne, who appeared on BBC series The Voicelast year, will be joined in the new cast by John Ellis as Piangi and Alicia Beck as Meg, both of whom make their West End debuts.
Gerónimo Rauch will continue as The Phantom, with Harriet Jones staying on as Christine (alternating with Emmi Christenssonfrom September).
Also continuing their roles are: Andy Hockleyas Monsieur Firmin, Martin Ball as Monsieur Andre, Lara Martins as Carlotta and Jacinta Mulcahy as Madame Giry.
Phantom became the longest running show in Broadway history on 9 January 2006 when it celebrated its 7,486th performance, surpassing the previous record holder Cats, also by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
In October 2011 the London production celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a one-off staging of the show at the Royal Albert Hall. In March 2013 the show, which is currently booking at Her Majesty's Theatre until April 2015, celebrated 11,000 performances in the West End.
